Protection of reptiles and amphibians

With our mobile and stationary solutions, we effectively protect the lives of amphibians and reptiles along roads and traffic routes

Reptiles and amphibians are an essential part of the ecological balance and biodiversity of our nature. With our wide range of stationary and mobile protection systems, we make an important contribution to the preservation of these animals. Our amphibian and reptile fencing is specifically designed to protect these species and ensure their existence in our ecosystem.

Mobile amphibian protection fences

Our mobile amphibian fences in accordance with MAmS 2000 reliably protect reptiles and amphibians from entering hazardous areas

Our mobile amphibian and reptile fences provide fast, cost-effective and efficient protection for temporary protection measures, such as construction site clearance or the cyclical migration of amphibians to their spawning waters. Depending on the herpetological protection concept, they can be used to guide amphibians to a crossing aid or a catch, resp. they are foreseen as a protective or reversal element to prevent them from entering construction sites or other hazardous areas such as roads or railway lines.

MAmS 2000 compliant

Our mobile protective fences for amphibians are MAmS 2000 compliant (leaflet on amphibian protection on roads, 2000 edition) and therefore comply with the recommendations and guidelines for amphibian and reptile protection on roads and traffic routes.

Thus, it is ensured that our products meet the highest requirements and offer effective as well reliable protection.

Easy handling and adaptability

Our fencing is popular with professional users as well as volunteer services and environmental organisations (BUND, NABU, etc.) for its ease of assembly and handling.

We offer a modular system that can be flexibly adapted to different protection concepts and animal species. Post spacing, foil type and post shape can be changed at any time, allowing an individual adaptation and expansion.

Assembly in open field with climbing-over protection

by the use of hot-dip galvanised metal post - angled 45° at the top and with a sword to prevent twisting - as well as tensioning rope, chain links and pegs

Assembly in open field without climbing-over protection

by the use of hot-dip galvanised metal posts with depth stop as well as tensioning rope, chain links and pegs

Installation on existing wire mesh fence

simple assembly by the use of chain links

Durable and re-usable

Our protective fences are durable and re-usable - a sustainable and cost-effective solution for amphibian and reptile protection.

Quality from our own production

We manufacture all steel parts at our company site in Voehringen, while the foils come from European production. This enables us to guarantee high-quality workmanship, fast response times and persistent high quality standards.

Durable UV resistance

Our amphibian protection fences offer a high UV resistance of at least 4-5 years in Central Europe, which ensures a long and reliable use.

Ideal spare parts management

All components are individual available for expansion works or for replacement in case of damage. The modular design offers maximum flexibility in use, allowing our fences to be used as amphibian and reptile protection in a cost-saving manner.

Sturdy metal eyelets and all-round seam

Our foils are equipped with aluminium eyelets at the top and bottom and seamed all the way round. These details provide additional stability and enable simple and secure fastening.

Option: Closed foil with smooth surface

Our protective fences with a closed foil have an absolutely smooth surface and therefore cannot be climbed over. This increases safety and animal protection, especially in the context of reptile protection concepts.

Option: Wind-permeable open mesh

The open mesh of our protective fences is wind-permeable and ensures a reduced sail effect. As a result, our amphibian protection fences offer high stability even in difficult weather conditions.

Option: Impact aid for metal posts with climb-over protection

The impact aid enables precise, fast and material-friendly installation of the metal posts with climb-over protection.

Stationary amphibian guidance walls

Our plastic stationary amphibian guidance walls are effective protective devices to prevent amphibians from crossing roads all year round

Stationary amphibian barriers offer a permanent solution for guiding amphibians such as frogs, newts and toads safely to their spawning waters. Our effective guidance system prevents the animals from crossing roads resp. other traffic routes and guides them instead to amphibian passages or other crossing aids. This ensures a safe crossing and protection of the animals, which is particularly vital during the annual amphibian migration. The conformity of our systems with MAmS 2000 guarantees a professional protection concept.

Plastic amphibian guide wall in 1-shape

Thanks to their 1-shape, our recycled plastic amphibian guide wall guarantee reliable and durable protection against crossing and are therefore insurmountable for reptiles and amphibians.

Safe running surfaces for our amphibian guide wall

Our retrofittable running surfaces for stationary amphibian walls offer a safe and barrier-free path for amphibians thanks to the generous overlap of the elements.

MAmS conformity and sustainability

We only use 100% recycled HD-PE for our amphibian barriers, thus helping to reduce CO2 emissions and protect the environment.

Our system is MAmS 2000 compliant (leaflet on amphibian protection on roads, 2000 edition) and therefore complies with the recommendations and guidelines for amphibian and reptile protection on roads and traffic routes.

So you can be sure that our products meet the highest requirements and offer effective and sustainable protection.

Assembly in open field with steel posts

by the use of hot-dip galvanised metal posts - with a sword as anti-twist protection - as well as cable fixers and screws

Assembly in open field with plastic posts

by the use of U-shaped plastic posts and screw connections

Installation on existing wire mesh fence

simple assembly by the use of cable fixers

Easy-made reptile and amphibian protection: installation without heavy equipment

Thanks to the simple handling, professional users as well as volunteer services and environmental organisations can easily implement reptile and amphibian protection measures by themselves without heavy equipment such as excavators.

Simple tools can be used to adapt the system to different ground contours on site. Road closures or traffic safety measures are generally not necessary due to the small work space needed.

Backfilling option by reinforced steel posts

Equipped with specially designed steel supports, the amphibian wall can be backfilled effortlessly with a variety of materials such as soil, stones and dead wood.

As a result, it not only blends harmoniously into its surroundings, but also ensures optimal technical adaptation to its environment.

Safety first: quick and easy replacement

All elements of our system can be replaced individually, quickly and easily.

Our amphibian guidance wall also have rounded edges to minimise the risk of injury. In this way, we not only minimise possible damage to the vehicle, but also the potential danger for the person causing the accident.

Versatile components for amphibian guide walls

By using corner hinges, our amphibious amphibian guide walls can be flexibly and individually equipped with reversing elements or end boxes.

Efficient drainage of surface water

Thanks to the optional perforation, we offer an option of allowing surface water to drain away easily. This guarantees effective water drainage for maximum protection of the animals.

Private labelling

Starting with production quantities of 1,000 units, we can permanently integrate your logo or brand name on the wall element - individual labelling for motorway or railway projects, for example.
